A child being diagnosed as “terminally ill” causes parents to experience a sting that is incomprehensible.
Family, friends, school, and careers are all affected by this disease.
As the parents’ focus turns to the illness and survival of the family unit; day to day life still demands their attention.
Everything one has been taught is challenged, and confusion is the dominating feeling.
Meghan’s Dream Inc. is a local 501(c)3 non-profit Psychosocial Support Program designed to help families live successfully with childhood cancer. It is our mission to bridge the gap between these families and their community. Our main goal is to provide guidance and support for the entire family unit.
We currently provide families with a “Boots on the Ground” standard of support with a larger vision in place. On the larger psychosocial scale; we intend to host accredited seminars for school administration and faculty, provide a “children’s” hospital clothing line, a camp for families who have lost a child to cancer, and a work force for parents who need temporarily relief from their jobs.
With your help and support MDI will be able to fulfill its mission. We are 100% Tax Deductible and as always we appreciate your support.
